About This Service

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a structured, evidence-based therapy that helps people heal from the symptoms and emotional distress resulting from disturbing life experiences. Rather than talking through a traumatic memory in detail, EMDR uses guided bilateral stimulation — such as eye movements or gentle tapping — to help the brain reprocess the memory so it no longer feels overwhelming.

Originally developed to treat PTSD, EMDR is now widely used for anxiety, phobias, grief, accidents, bullying and childhood adversity. Our experienced psychologists are trained in EMDR and take a warm, careful approach — you remain in control at every step, and we only move as fast as you feel safe to go.
